OXFORD INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM

The SNSEP-OIC provides students a “multiple-track“ curriculum as it complies with both the curricula of the Thai Ministry of Education and the Oxford International Curriculum combined with elective courses to create a high-quality, global, and all-encompassing educational experience.

KINDERGARTEN

The Kindergarten level aka EYFS (Early Years Formation Stage) defines standards for children’s education, development, and care that include physical development, communication and language development, and personal, social, and emotional development.

Specifically, SNSEP-OIC Kindergarten ranges from ages 3-6 and are in the kindergarten levels 1-3. Kindergarten curriculum is designed to develop students’ skills and capabilities in preparation for their primary education. In and out of classroom activities were designed to support students’ learning needs and style. The following subjects are offered to Kindergarten learners to satisfy the 20 hour/week requirement

Kindergarten aka Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) ได้กำหนดมาตรฐานสำหรับการศึกษา การพัฒนา และการดูแลเด็ก ซึ่งรวมถึงการพัฒนาทางกายภาพ การสื่อสารและการพัฒนาภาษา และการพัฒนาส่วนบุคคล สังคม และอารมณ์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาลมีอายุตั้งแต่อายุ 3-5 ปี และอยู่ในระดับอนุบาล 1-3 หลักสูตร EFYS (Early Years Foundation Stage) ออกแบบมาเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะและความสามารถของนักเรียนในการเตรียมตัวสำหรับการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา กิจกรรมในและนอกห้องเรียนได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อรองรับความต้องการและรูปแบบการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียน โดยวิชาต่อไปนี้ได้มีการจัดเตรียมสำหรับผู้เรียน EFYS เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามข้อกำหนดในการเรียน 20 ชั่วโมง/สัปดาห์

ELEMENTARY

Students at the elementary school level arm themselves with fundamental skills and information, cultivate the joy of learning, and instill the MAWG core values.

At SNS – EP, Grades 1-6 curriculum is designed to help students develop their full potentials in different learning fields. Students engaged themselves in activities that develop their communicative competence, skills and knowledge in science and mathematics, and different 21st Century Skills that will be useful in their daily undertakings. The aforementioned were supplemented with out-of-school activities like joining in language camps (in and out of the country), field trips, and competitions and tournaments in different fields. Elementary students are required to attain CEFR level B1 (Basic Users of language) upon their graduation in SNSEP-OIC. The following subjects are offered to satisfy the 35 hour/week requirement

นักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาจะมีทักษะและข้อมูลพื้นฐาน ปลูกฝังความสุขในการเรียนรู้ และปลูกฝังค่านิยมของ MAWG ที่ SNS – EP หลักสูตรชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1 – 6 (Grade 1-6) ได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อช่วยให้นักเรียน ได้พัฒนาศักยภาพอย่างเต็มที่ในด้านการเรียนรู้ที่แตกต่างกัน นักเรียนจะมีส่วนร่วมกับกิจกรรมที่พัฒนาความสามารถในการสื่อสาร ทักษะและความรู้ในด้าน วิทยาศาสตร์และคณิตศาสตร์ และทักษะต่างๆ ของศตวรรษที่ 21 ที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ในงกิจวัตรประจำวันของนักเรียน กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจะเสริมด้วยกิจกรรมภายนอกโรงเรียน เช่น การเข้าร่วมค่ายภาษา (ในและนอกประเทศ) การทัศนศึกษา การแข่งขันทักษะวิชาการและการแข่งขันในสาขาต่างๆ นักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาทุกคน จะต้องผ่านการทดสอบภาษาอังกฤษตามกรอบมาตรฐาน CEFR ระดับ A2 (ผู้ใช้ภาษาขั้นพื้นฐาน) เมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาจากแผนก English Programme โดยวิชาต่อไปนี้ได้มีการจัดเตรียมสำหรับผู้เรียน 35 ชั่วโมง/สัปดาห์

LOWER SECONDARY

Students at the secondary level develop strong English and Thai language skills in preparation for higher levels of school, as well as values and ideals that they should live by. They also cultivate learning independence.

At SNS – EP, Grades 7-9 are the lower secondary students, also known as, Junior High School. The curriculum is intended to help students prepare themselves for their senior high school and university studies. The curriculum aims at strengthening students’ full potential in English language, mathematics, science and in other fields of interest students wanted to be honed. Extra-curricular activities are also designed to enhance students’ leadership, musical, sports and other skills which students need in order to face the world squarely. Junior High school students are required to attain CEFR level B2 (Independent Users of language) upon their graduation in SNSEP-OIC.

The following subjects are offered to satisfy the 35 hour/week requirement

นักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาจะได้รับการพัฒนาทักษะภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมสำหรับระดับชั้นที่สูงขึ้นต่อไปของโรงเรียน ตลอดจนค่านิยมและอุดมคติที่นักเรียนควรจะปฏิบัติตาม นักเรียนจะได้รับการปลูกฝังการเรียนรู้อย่างอิสระ นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 – 3 หรือที่เรียกว่ามัธยมต้น หลักสูตรนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อช่วยให้นักเรียนเตรียมตัวสำหรับการเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายและระดับมหาวิทยาลัย หลักสูตรนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของนักเรียนอย่างเต็มที่ในด้านภาษาอังกฤษ คณิตศาสตร์ วิทยาศาสตร์ และในสาขาอื่นๆ ที่นักเรียนสนใจ และนักเรียนต้องการได้รับการฝึกฝนและเรียนรู้ กิจกรรมนอกหลักสูตรยังได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อเพิ่มความเป็นผู้นำ ดนตรี กีฬา และทักษะอื่นๆของนักเรียนที่นักเรียนต้องการเพื่อเผชิญหน้ากับโลกอย่างตรงไปตรงมา นักเรียนมัธยมต้นต้องบรรลุ CEFR ระดับ B2 (ผู้ใช้ภาษาได้อย่างอิสระ) เมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาใน SNSEP-OIC โดยวิชาต่อไปนี้ได้มีการจัดเตรียมสำหรับผู้เรียน 35 ชั่วโมง/สัปดาห์

หลักสูตรระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายที่มีชื่อว่า Language Arts and Digital Business Curriculum (LADB) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อช่วยให้นักเรียนเตรียมตัวสำหรับการเรียนในมหาวิทยาลัยและเพื่ออาชีพการงานในอนาคต หลักสูตรนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของนักเรียนในภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาจีน และการทำธุรกิจในโลกออนไลน์ หลักสูตรนี้มีความเชื่อมโยงกับ วิทยาลัยศิลปะ สื่อ และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ (CMU) ซึ่งมีการสอนหลายวิชาโดยอาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ กิจกรรมนอกหลักสูตรยังได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อเพิ่มความเป็นผู้นำ ด้านดนตรี ด้านกีฬา และทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 ของนักเรียน ซึ่งนักเรียนต้องเผชิญหน้ากับโลกในอนาคตได้อย่างมั่นใจ นักเรียนมัธยมปลายจะต้องทำบทความวิจัยหนึ่งฉบับในวารสารนานาชาติ และมีผลการทดสอบ CEFR อยู่ที่ระดับ B2 (ผู้ใช้ภาษาได้อย่างอิสระ) และแสดงใบรับรองในการเป็นผู้ประกอบการและการนำเที่ยวเมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาในแผนก EP โรงเรียนเซนต์นิโกลาส

LADB

LANGUAGE ARTS AND DIGITAL BUSINESS

The Senior High School curriculum dabbed as Language Arts and Digital Business Curriculum (LADB) is intended to help students prepare themselves either for university studies and for career. The curriculum aims at strengthening students’ full potential in English and Chinese languages, digital business, and STEM. This strand is linked with Chiang Mai University (CMU) College of Arts, Media and Technology where several subjects are taught by esteemed professors from CMU. Extra-curricular activities are also designed to enhance students’ leadership, musical, sports and 21st century skills which they need to face the world confidently. Senior High School students are required to publish one research paper in an international journal, attain a CEFR level B2 (Independent Users of language), and present certificates in Entrepreneurship and Tour Guiding upon their graduation in SNSEP-OIC.

Elective and Weekend Classes

Elective and weekend classes are an SNSEP-OIC student support service that refers to a variety of teaching methods, academic services, or educational materials made available to students with the goal of advancing their academic progress, developing skills, catching up to their peers, meeting learning standards, or achieving a holistic education in general. For weekend classes, courses are offered at 4000 Baht per Semester at 16 meetings/5 subjects (3 academic subjects, 2 skill subjects)
Students can reach their full potential with the help of elective and supplementary Saturday classes. Academic sessions give students a fun and engaging method to tackle difficult ideas in science, math, or language courses. Having enjoyment while learning difficult concepts is the most important thing for students to remember! Practical knowledge is imparted to students to help them prepare for their classes and tests. Students may receive one-on-one or small-group tutoring in the subject where they encounter difficulty with. In order for the students to perform successfully in their classes, the teacher assesses their level of understanding of specific concepts, their areas of weakness, and their preferred learning styles. SNSEP-OIC offers elective and weekend classes for the following subjects for one (1) hour each session

Both academic and extracurricular disciplines are crucial in the life of students. Hence, SNSEP-OIC allots more resources to skill-based disciplines in order to attain a holistic global education. As important as completing their exams is ensuring their physical and mental health. In order to balance academics and skill development, SNSEP-OIC offers non-academic subjects that allow students to select to demonstrate their expertise by participating in a specific career or activity in the field. The majority of students opt to participate in extracurricular activities such as athletics, physical fitness, music, visual and performing arts, and clubs and organizations that promote community service in addition to their academic studies. SNSEP-OIC offers elective and weekend classes for the following non-physical subjects for one (1) hour per session
